What News

Sharon Whisnand’s mixed media art may include elements that suggest a landscape or may strictly use balance and color to create abstract patterns. With hand-painted papers, drywall tape, string, gesso, and even hot glue, a work of art is born.

"What News" measures 5x7 inches and incorporates an old newspaper article that has been “tea stained”, gesso stenciled over, stamping, hand-painted papers, gold scribbles and a transparent leaf. Painted on watercolor paper. Sold in the frame shown.
