Ostentation

Sharon Whisnand’s mixed media art may include elements that suggest a landscape or may strictly use balance and color to create abstract patterns. With hand-painted papers, drywall tape, string, gesso, and even hot glue, a work of art is born.

"Ostentation" measures 12x15 inches. This piece was created with acrylic medium, gesso, and hand-painted papers. Then, it was finished with a whole lot of “bling,” which was created with hot glue and painted with gold paint. A very interesting an unusual mixed media painting, indeed! Sold in the frame shown.
